Endelig lidt liv....02-07-2014 11:56 Endelig kom der lidt liv i gauldalen ! I løbet af tirsdagen kom der kom der flere små steg af smålaks op til ca. 3 kg. Jeg havde da også et par træk i fluen. Men desværre skete der ikke mere & de forsvandt hurtigt opover i dalen. |

While the exiles certainly saw their traditions and culture to be superior to that of the locals, this sense of superiority was often shared by the locals who acceded to Sephardic colonization . The embrace of Sephardic halacha and cultural norms has an important pre-history: already in the earlier middle ages, Jews of the Muslim Mediterranean shifted their gaze towards Sepharad as the source of their religious guidance, similarly to the position of Baghdad during the height of the Gaonim. Think of Maimonides living in Egypt for the bulk of his life, signing his name as hasefaradi and the impact of his Mishne Tora which embodied the Andalusian tradition, on the legal standards of the wider Muslim world. The ways that Sephardic legal approaches and ideals became broadcast to the wider Mediterranean played a role in preparing the way, at least for the mustarabi communities in the Levant and North Africa to embrace and absorb sephardic hegemony after 1492. JUST A THOUGHT!
